#FanBattle Update - Day 1
Fight Gone 421/508 is in the books and with that comes the end of the first day of the 2015 Asia Championships. We wanted you the fans to be as involved in this weekend as possible so the inaugural championships includes our #FanBattle competition.
For those of you who missed it, we invited everyone to select their dream team of 5 male and 5 female athletes, but also included a "salary cap" of $100 for each gender. With 75 teams submitted the competition is sure to be fierce so without further ado, here are the standings after day 1!
Anchoring his team with CrossFit CSTL teammates Sophie Reid, Emily Cameron and the Haynes brothers, athlete Jamie Lau's dream team stormed out of the gate and is currently 2 points ahead of second place Matt Cass from East West CrossFit. With 5 events still to go, the #FanBattle is still anyone's to win with 25 teams being separated by 20 points or less. For bragging rights, Kah Mun from CrossFit Malaysia had the closest guess for the winning time in Fight Gone 508 - Kah guessed 23 minutes and 49 seconds, two seconds off Ant Haynes official finishing time of 23:51.
For those of you who are wondering, each teams points is the aggregate of the points earned by the 10 athletes on their team and like the championships itself, the fewer the points, the closer you are to the top!
